I just bought a kegerator from a friend and the beer is foamy so I'm assuming it's because the lines are dirty. How often should I clean the lines? Also, can anybody suggest a good method for cleaning them? I looked online and found kits that costed $50,

With the amount of beer Sarah and I go, it made sense to invest in a financial kegerator to replace the case of the grain belt that we cross. After all, for $ 92 a barrel is better than the 7 cases of beer equivalent to a total of $ 112. ;) Plus there's the cool factor to finally have a tap in the bar.
So after shopping around, we bought a conversion kit Kegerator plant beverages.I also added a new pool of 10 pounds of CO2 suggests that greater size would avert fewer trips to the gas company. And then later added a nice stainless drain well. I chose the door mounting kit, knowing that I would do my own valve box to fit thanks to the handle....
